Kidnapping, rape suspect sought

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A bus stop kidnapping and sexual assault has investigators in Palm Beach County on high alert.

At this point, investigators are not linking this case with an open serial rapist case.

On Tuesday, a woman says a Hispanic man told her he had a gun and forced her into his car.

The attack unfolded around 2:30 p.m. at a bus stop on Belvedere Road and Sansbury Way in Suburban West Palm Beach.

The man then took her to a different location and sexually assaulted her, according to investigators.

The suspect is described as five-eight to five-nine feet in height, has short black hair and speaks with a thick Hispanic accent.

The victim described the suspect's vehicle as an older model 4-door black faded car.

On Friday morning, a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said at this point the case is not linked to the hunt for a serial rapist sought by investigators.

In that investigation, a man is wanted for five Palm Beach County rapes dating back to 2009.

Anyone who can identify the man or has any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at (800) 458-TIPS.
