We are all interconnected. Our lives are invisibly tied to those whose destinies touch ours.

Starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kiefer Sutherland, and returning for a sophomore season, TOUCH is the uplifting global hit drama from creator and writer Tim Kring ("Heroes," "Crossing Jordan") and executive producers Peter Chernin (NEW GIRL) and Katherine Pope (NEW GIRL).

Blending science, spirituality and emotion, the series follows seemingly unrelated people from across the world, all of whose lives impact each other in ways seen and unseen, known and unknown. At the center of the story is MARTIN BOHM (Sutherland), a widower and single father, who struggles to communicate and connect with his emotionally challenged 12-year-old son, JAKE (David Mazouz). Determined, thoughtful and caring, Martin continues to try anything - and everything - to reach his son. But Jake still never speaks, shows little emotion and never allows himself to be touched by anyone.

Season One unfolded with Martin realizing that Jake possessed an extraordinary gift - the ability to perceive the seemingly hidden patterns that connect every life on the planet. It was up to Martin to decipher these numbers and put the pieces together in order to help people all over the world whose lives touched one another.

Along the way, lives also were lost. Perhaps the most notable was the death of PROF. ARTHUR TELLER (guest star Danny Glover), the numbers expert whose understanding of Jake's abilities was evident right from the start. By season's end, however, Teller was found slumped over his car's steering wheel. In Season Two, the story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where the introduction of new character LUCY (Maria Bello) launches Martin and Jake on another compelling journey.

Last season's unprecedented global launch of TOUCH in more than 100 countries was a tremendous success. Internationally, the series ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in its time period and increased foreign channels' primetime average by double or triple digit percentage points. TOUCH is the first U.S. broadcast series to immediately establish such a notable global audience.

TOUCH is a production of Chernin Entertainment and Tailwind Productions, in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Tim Kring created the series and wrote the pilot. Kring, Francis Lawrence ("Water for Elephants"), Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Kiefer Sutherland, Suzan Bymel ("The War at Home") and Carol Barbee ("Jericho") are executive producers. Lawrence directed the pilot.
