LOS ANGELS, CA (WFLX)- The Academy Awards may get a change of scenery.
The LA Times reports the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is in talks with AEG to possibly move the Oscars to the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
AEG owns the theater, which also hosts the Emmys and the American Music Awards.
The Times cited a person familiar with AEG's operations.
For the last 10 years, the awards show has been held at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
The Times reports late Wednesday, the academy issued a statement saying it hasn't "begun venue negotiations for the Oscar telecast beyond 2013."
