Dolphins introduce new head coach

DAVIE, FL (WFLX) -- There is a new head coach for the Miami Dolphins.

Joe Philbin was introduced Saturday afternoon at the Dolphins's headquarters in Davie.  The 50-year-old was the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator for the past nine seasons.

General Manager Jeff Ireland and Owner Stephen Ross said they will let Philbin have free reign, in terms of putting together a coaching staff.

Just 13 days ago, Philbin's 21-year-old son, Michael, drowned in a Wisconsin river. Philbin told the media he took the Dolphins' job after several discussions with his family.
