Bodies found decomposing in Lake Worth home

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of two bodies in Lake Worth.

They were found in home in the 1800 block of Pierce Drive, which is east of I-95 and south of Forest Hill Boulevard.

The sheriff's office says deputies were called around 10 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a welfare check following a 911 call.

They found the men "in advanced state of decomposition".

Both appear to be homicide victims. They have not been identified. Investigators are trying to notify relatives.

Neighbors say two men lived in the home and one of them was elderly.

"We came home last [Wednesday] night about 10, 10:30, there were a bunch of police here and then the ex-wife said that somebody was dead and she was incoherent at first, you know and I thought it was the old man had a heart attack or something but when they started putting the [police] tape up we knew it wasn't a heart attack," said neighbor Helene Scully.

An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
