Llamas, other animals removed from Kissimmee home

KISSIMMEE, FL (AP) -- Authorities say they removed dozens of malnourished animals, including llamas, from a central Florida home.

Osceola County Animal Control officials tell WFTV-TV that 29 hogs, 25 dogs, five horses and two llamas were removed Friday from the Kissimmee home. Several chickens, ducks, geese and doves also were removed.

Authorities say the homeowner voluntarily surrendered the animals. According to the county, several animals were removed from the same home two years ago because they were malnourished and ill.

The animals were going to be evaluated by animal control workers.
