Thud after thud after thud, Richard Wesson lands sharp pieces of steel into a large wooden board.

He started throwing knives competitively several years ago, and Richard has already won a number of trophies and world titles.

While the competition usually only involves throwing knives at wooden blocks with bulls eyes on them, the show part of the knife-throwing involves a little more daring.

Kathy Wesson doesn't even flinch as knives come whizzing past her face and with each thud, line up along-side her body. The couple has been married for 37 years, as throwing knives around a person usually only comes with a healthy helping of trust.

The two love the sport and Richard looks forward to tossing many more knives in his competitive career. Kathy looks forward to stepping away from the board many more times with a smile... and no nicks.
