Elderly dementia woman left in car while caretaker gambles

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - A Boca Raton caretaker is accused of leaving a 95-year-old woman with dementia in her car -- for almost two hours -- while she went gambling.

Mary Holly was charged with neglecting an elderly person. Luckily, the elderly woman was not harmed during the ordeal.

Holly made her first appearance in court Monday and reportedly fainted in the courtroom.

Our news partners at the Sun-Sentinel report she also faces previous charges of exploitation of an elderly person and grand theft.
