Autograph hunting at Honda Classic

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX)   Fans come out in big numbers to see the golfers on the green.  Others, come out just to get the autographs.

"Some of them I know, some of them I don't, it's just the communications with them and having fun," said Marc Adelman.

For some, the spot next to the ropes at the autograph hub is where the action is located.

"I will probably spend my time here and go up there for a little bit," Adelman said.

Others find it in a more hands-on way.

"I held up the sign for Tiger Woods and walked with him, and he said hi and gave me a couple of balls and a signed hat," said 13-year-old Andre Wade.

It is the moment that can change an everyday item into a keepsake that will never be worn again.

"I'm going to frame it," said Wade.

The process of getting an autograph can take hours or at least perseverance.

Tristan Pena, an 8-year-old boy, said, "And twice I tried to chase them for them to get me cause they were leaving."

Pena explained, "No, they are all my favorite, I can't really read them anyways."

Is it because they have messy handwriting?

"No, it's just I can't read cursive," he said.
