Jurors to examine cars in Goodman crash

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-  After seven witnesses took the stand Wednesday,  Thursday should also be a busy day for the prosecution.

The lead traffic homicide investigator as well as several other medical experts are expected in today's proceedings, which begin at 8:20 this morning.

Also expected is a first-hand jury viewing of the two vehicles involved in the February 2010 crash.

Vehicles will be at the courthouse ‘loading dock' no later than 9 a.m. Judge Jeffrey Colbath will bring lawyers and jury down through the courthouse freight elevators to the loading dock to view the vehicles this morning and does not anticipate it will take very long because no questions will be asked/answered by anyone at that time.

Judge Colbath also said the vehicles may be emotionally tough for the jurors to look at.

Attorneys with the prosecution said they believe witness testimony will go no later than midday on Friday, meaning the defense must be ready with their first witness at that time.

The judge has yet to rule on a Wednesday prosecution request to allow a taped statement from Lisa Pembleton about the night she came into contact with Goodman to be included in proceedings.
