Local rally held in support of Trayvon Martin

STUART, FL (WFLX) -- More than a month has passed since Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in Sanford by a neighborhood watch volunteer. On Saturday, residents in Stuart gathered in support of the 17-year-old.

Hundreds of people rallied and then marched over the Roosevelt Bridge.

Those who attended say they hope to sustain the momentum other rallies have created.

"The more you say nothing, the more that nothing happens," said rally organizer Natasha Pierre. 'So if that means we come out here and rally again another week, then that's what we're going to do. We're going to fight for justice."

Organizers of the rally and march said until "justice is served" they will not stay silent.
