Screams analyzed in Zimmerman, Martin case

SANFORD, FL (WFLX) - Experts are analyzing the 9-1-1 calls made during the confrontation between a Florida neighborhood watchman and teenager Trayvon Martin.

George Zimmerman says he shot and killed Martin in self-defense.

Zimmerman told Sanford Police he was screaming for help during the incident. Forensic audio experts are now comparing the screams heard in the background of the 9-1-1 calls to try and determine what happened and who cried out for help.

"There is a huge chance this is not Zimmerman's voice. In fact, after 28 years of doing this, I would put my reputation on the line and say this is not George Zimmerman screaming," said Edward John Primeau, audio engineer and forensics expert.

The audio analysis is not 100-percent accurate. However, they say, they cannot determine exactly who was screaming since they have no samples of Martin's voice.
