PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (AP) - Sen. Marco Rubio says he won't be the Republican vice presidential candidate despite all the speculation to the contrary.

The tea party darling said flatly Wednesday he wouldn't be running mate to GOP front-runner Mitt Romney, but believes the candidate will win the White House.

Rubio says "the primary is over" even though Rick Santorum and others continue to challenge Romney, whom the senator has endorsed.

As for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's statement that Rubio is the clear choice for vice president, Rubio rebutted by saying he thinks Bush would, in fact, "be a great" choice.

Rubio spoke at the opening of a constituent office in Palm Beach Gardens.
