PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) -- No matter what flavor you choose, if you're buying from Missy's Ice Cream Shoppe Saturday, chances are, you're satisfying more than just your sweet tooth.

"He's the sweetest little thing, his big brown eyes will melt your heart as soon as you look at them."

Missy Carlson is donating all of her proceeds from 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon to 9 p.m. to 10-year old Denali Botolino. He's just 10 miles from here at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Carlson met him about a month ago.

"And I went to ask him about where he went to school and he said, 'I don't go to school, I have cancer,'" said Carlson.

Denali's family set up a facebook page for him, asking people to pray.  He has been battling pancreatic cancer since 2010.

"Besides Denali who is sick, they have three other children, they lost their house, so they had to find a place to rent, they've done procedures that aren't covered by insurance," said Carlson.

In addition to Saturday's proceeds, Missy's Ice Cream Shoppe set up a silent auction and a raffle to raise money for the Botolino family.

Carlson says she knows the community would do the same for her, if her kids were sick.

"I would hope to God that people would come rally for me if my son was in that situation."

Donations for 10-year-old Denali Botalino can be made at http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/109025382468566/
