GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The teen accused of fatally shooting three students and wounding two others at Chardon High School is competent to stand trial.

TJ Lane's competency hearing was held Wednesday in Geauga County Juvenile Court.

In court, it was shared that Lane does suffer from some sort of psychosis, does not have the full range of emotions of normal people, has auditory hallucinations, is sometimes mentally not there, is withdrawn from people, has periods of staring, and has had migraine headaches since elementary school.

The deadly shootings occurred just before the start of classes on February 27 in the area of the High School's cafeteria.

17-year-old Russell King, Jr., 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin were killed. 17-year-old Nick Walczak and 18-year-old Joy Rickers have been released from the hospital.

Lane has been charged with three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault for the student snipped in the ear.

Lane will be back in court on May 24th for a bind-over hearing.
