OCEAN RIDGE, FL (WFLX) -- Ocean Ridge will hold a hearing on Tuesday to determine the future of its police department.

The town is deciding whether to let Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office take over.

According to PBSO, the move would save the town about $600,000 a year.

The town's police department currently holds 20 employees, but PBSO would commit just 10 officers and one lieutenant if the town approves the move.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Ocean Ridge town hall.
