Roommate sentenced in Rutgers' spying case

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (WFLX) - A New Jersey judge sentenced Dharun Ravi to 30 days in jail Monday for spying on and intimidating his gay Rutgers roommate. Ravi will also be on probation for three years.

He had faced 10 years in prison and possible deportation to his native India.

Ravi's roommate, 18-year-old Tyler Clementi, jumped to his death in the Hudson River in 2010 after learning Ravi had taped him kissing another guy.
