Two hospitalized after dog attack in Suburban West Palm Beach

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-  Two people have have been hospitalized after an attack by two dogs in a suburban West Palm Beach neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to Animal Care and Control officials.

According to an Animal Care and Control spokesperson, a woman was walking in the area of Collin Drive and Davis Road around 6 a.m . when she was bitten.

A man who tried to intervene was also bitten, according to officials.

Officers from Animal Care and Control responded to scene and report that a sheriff's deputy shot one of the dogs, and it has been transported to a local vet by its owner.

The female attack victim was taken to JFK Medical Center, while the man volunteered to drive himself to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.

Animal Care and Control classified the breed of the dogs as "mixed."
