PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - Coral Springs police say they have found the body of 1-month-old Josiah Saintil in the trunk of a black car,  at 11000 Royal Palm Boulevard, in Coral Springs.

Josiah would have turned 2 months old next week.

According to the Associated Press, Lt. Joe McHugh says the boy's father, Janus Saintil, 24, is being held. Saintil has an extensive criminal history that includes armed robbery and grand theft.

According to WTVJ chopper video the car matches the description of the car  police have been looking for.

The Amber Alert issued earlier today has been canceled.

The 1-month-old boy was last seen wearing a blue onesie with 'Mommy All Star' on the front. He also has a Winnie the Pooh blanket.

The child has eczema with light skinned discoloration on his chin, earlobe and left temple.

He was last seen in the area of 149 West Bay Shore Boulevard in Port St. Lucie.

Port St. Lucie and Broward County Sheriff's Office detectives are looking for his father, 24-year-old Janus Saintil. He is described as a black male, 5-feet 4-inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. Saintil is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Port St. Lucie Police say Saintil was riding with the child's mother, another woman, a man and the baby around 7 p.m. Thursday in Broward County.

Police say he became angry and pulled out a gun and forced the driver to drive north.

When Saintil arrived in Port. St. Lucie, he dropped the baby off at an unknown address before he and his victims went to another house and then to an ATM at a local gas station. There, Saintil forced one of the victims to withdraw cash from the ATM before all of the victims yelled for help and Saintill fled in a Kia Spectra.

Saintil and the baby were believed to be traveling in the stolen 2008 black Kia Spectra with Florida tag K528LH.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the child is asked to contact the Port St. Lucie Police Department at 772-871-501 or 911.
