LOXAHATCEE GROVES, FL (WFLX) - New information in the deputy-involved shooting that left an unarmed Loxahatchee Groves man dead.

Facing community concerns, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw is asking the state to get involved in the Seth Adams death investigation.

The sheriff says the move will ensure a fair investigation, but friends and family of Adams aren't so sure. "If it comforts them a little bit, in the community you know, if it will elay their concerns, there's nothing to hide here," said Bradshaw. "Our investigation is open and that's why I called FDLE [Florida Department of Law Enforcement]."

"I hope that is his true heart, but I'm just a little concerned because he changed a little bit in his attitude there. He might change again," Sam Bullers, a family friend, told Fox 29.

A FDLE spokesperson did not want to go on camera, but sent us a statement saying their review is about to begin. Once it's finished, they will hand over the result to the county.
