Man, who opened fire on deputies, denied bond

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The suspected carjacker, who was shot by a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy, this weekend will stay behind bars.

Michael James Wallach appeared before a judge Tuesday morning wearing an arm sling. The judge denied bond on all nine counts of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer.

Deputies say when they tried to pull him over in a stolen car Saturday, Wallach shot at them.

PBSO deputies, fearing for their safety, returned fire hitting Wallace.
