Clematis Street face-lift

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-  Work starts today on a new look for Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, but road closures are coming with it.

The City of West Palm Beach is starting its streetscape project, which boasts bringing new streetlights, landscaping and more to Clematis Street.

The future look of the street's streetlights and waste bins will be similar to what you currently see on the waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach.

While crews work, the 500 block of the street between Quadrille Boulevard and Rosemary Avenue will be closed to drivers.

The businesses in that area will still be open and so will the sidewalk for people to get to the businesses.

The facelift work will continue one block at a time down Clematis Street all the way to the 200 block.

The construction is expected to be finished at the end of the month.
