(WFLX)- Casey Anthony told CNN's Piers Morgan, during a phone conversation, she did not kill her daughter, Caylee.
Her attorney, Cheney Mason, talked with Morgan about his client and where she is now -- almost a year after her acquittal. "Well, she's in a different prison in reality. She's not in 24 hour a day lockdown like she was for three years in Norris County Jail," said Mason. "But she's in a home where she can't go outside. She fears, and we fear for her to go outside at all."
Anthony's attorney also says Anthony has suffered too after everything is said and done. "She has suffered unjustifiably and continues to and after this show is put out. I suspect there will be another round of hate mongers."
Anthony also told Morgan, "I'm ashamed in many ways of the person that I was," referring to past media interviews she characterized as "horrible".
"Even then, that wasn't who I am," she said. "I'm 26 now, and I've gone through hell," said Anthony.
