Lake Worth woman claims Walmart benefited from husband's death

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - A Lake Worth woman is suing Walmart, claiming the discount giant improperly profited from her husband's death.

Linda Gaub claims it secretly took out a life insurance policy on her husband and collected up to $150,000 when he died in 1994. Gaub says she could not take part in the settlement based on a Tampa ruling last year stating only court-appointed administrators of estates could share the benefit.

Gaub's husband died without a will.
