Tyler Hadley may only serve 25 years

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - If suspected killer Tyler Hadley is convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the first-degree murder of his parents, the Port St. Lucie teen could be free after 25 years.

That's because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that sentencing minors to life in prison with no chance of parole violates the eighth amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.

The Florida Department of Corrections estimates 360 inmates can ask their life sentences be reduced.
