Mom claims principal manhandled son

(WFLX) - The mother of an elemantary school student is suing the Palm Beach County School District for a principal's alleged manhandling of her son.

Lawyers representing Sherlie DeLice say Michael Chamberlain, who was principal at Equestrian Trails Elementary when the incident happened, slammed her 67-pound son in a wall or lockers.

They say it was hard enough to break open the skin on the boy's cheek bone.

According to the lawsuit filed last week, the incident occured in April of last year when DeLice's third-grade son left an FCAT testing room.

She is seeking $15,000 in damages.
