PSL couple assaulted after Batman movie

PORT ST LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - Some tense moments for movie-goers on the Treasure Coast after Monday's midnight showing of the Batman movie.

Police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male after, they say, he and three of his friends attacked a man and his wife at the Rave Cinema in Port St. Lucie.

According to reports, after the movie was over, one suspect pushed the wife while another began assaulting the husband. That's when the husband pulled out a gun and fired two shots.

Eyewitnesses tell us exclusively the four suspects were causing problems even before the movie began. "When we walked up to the theater, they made a comment to my girlfriend, some sneering remark," said eyewitness Douglas Poole. "We just ignored it and walked up to the theatre. They came into the same movie as us, which happened to be Batman, and during the movie, the manager came in quite a few times to tell them to quiet down."

None of the shots hit anyone and no one was injured.
