NEW YORK (WFLX) - You can call him the artist formerly known as "Snoop Dogg".
The hip hop performer is leaving rap and plans to focus on creating reggae music under the name "Snoop Lion".
At a New York press event, he said, rap is no longer a challenge, and that it's time to find something new.
His next release will be a reggae album called "Reincarnated".
Snoop called reggae the music of love, happiness and sadness.
