FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX) - A former registered nurse at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center says a doctor performed unneeded procedures -- just to make more money.
Dr. Abdul Shadani is accused of putting in stents in a half dozen patients who did not need them. The stents are typically used for those with an artery blockage.
Lawnwood's Cardiology Institute is one of 10 HCA hospitals currently under investigation.
