SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) -- A man was rushed to the hospital after investigators say the car he was in ended up crashing into a lake at a mobile home park.
The Palm Beach County sheriff's officer said the man pulled up to a home in the 1700 block of Skees Road and then accidentally put his car into drive. The car went into the lake and quickly sank.
Medics showed up a short time later and a dive team was sent into the lake to search for the man. They were eventually able to get the man and pull him to safety. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators believe there was only victim, but they did spend a significant amount of time search the water for any other people who might have been in the car.
Earlier in the day another person had to be pulled from a vehicle that was in a canal.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said crews responded to the area of Folsom Road and Okeechobee Boulevard. The person had to be freed and was then taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
