Airline agent robs child

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (WFLX) - An airline gate agent was supposed to help an 11-year-old boy get from Florida to New York. Instead, police say, she helped herself to the boy's wallet.

Andre DeShong boarded a flight this month at Hollywood-Fort Lauderdal International Airport. Around his neck, he had a pouch with his ID, boarding pass and his wallet with $200.

His father walked him to his seat on the plane and then left.

DeShong says that's when a gate agent came on board, took the pouch and left the plane. "I think, she saw my wallet when she was grabbing my boarding pass."

When he arrived at New York, he called his father who called 9-1-1.

Detectives were able to identify the agent as Marsha Hendry on surveillance video.

After her arrest, JetBlue suspended Hendry.
