Breached whales now recovering at Sea World

ORLANDO, FL (WFLX) - The four pilot whales that survived beaching themselves on the Treasure Coast over the weekend are now in Orlando.

Sea World animal rescue teams moved the four whales Wednesday morning from FAU's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce.

The four juveniles remain in guarded condition and are being tube fed until they are able to eat fish.

They are the only survivors of a group of 22 whales that beached themselves at Avalon State Park in Fort Pierce Saturday.
