Free foreclosure prevention workshop

RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) - If you're in danger of losing your home to foreclosure, this weekend could be your chance to save it.

The Urban League of Palm Beach County and the City of Riviera Beach is hosting a foreclosure prevention workshop Saturday.

Representatives from Bank of America, Chase, and Wells Fargo will be there to speak with customers one-on-one. You can also get advice from HUD-certified counselors, and it's all free.

"Come out and find out what we can do for you. There's so many different options and opportunities and I know that people are afraid and fearful because they don't always understand the process, and we're there to  help them. We're that safety net," Tammy McDonald Anderson with the Urban League said.

Saturday's event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wells Recreation Center in Riviera beach. That's at 2409 Avenue H West.

You have to bring a few things: your photo ID, Social Security cards for household members, mortgage statement, most recent pay stubs, last two years tax returns, last two months bank statements, and copy of your utility bill.
