Call for improved parasailing safety after deadly accidents

POMPANO BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Two Florida lawmakers will introduce a new bill to improve parasailing safety across the state.

This comes after two deadly parasailing accidents -- both in Pompano Beach.

Kathleen Miskell slipped out of her harness and fell to her death last month. In 2007, 15-year-old Amber White lost her life in another parasailing accident.

State Senator Maria Sachs of Delray Beach and Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Fisher will unveil the bill at a news conference at 2 p.m. Monday.
