DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The Delray Beach City Commission is expected to make a non-smoker policy official Tuesday.
Under a new policy, the city will no longer hire employees who regularly use tobacco products. City commissioners say this is an easy way to save money and will help promote a healthy lifestyle.
Employees hired before October 1, 2012 are exempt from the policy, but are encouraged to participate.
