RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The north end of Singer Island is closed off while authorities search for a burglary suspect.

Riviera Beach police have confirmed they are working a burglary case and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office as well as North Palm Beach police are assisting.

Authorities are also using dogs and a helicopter to search for the suspect.

Traffic is detoured on north end of Singer Island near MacArthur Park

Witnesses reported a car crashed into a tree, but it's not clear if it's related to the incident.

Witnesses also say police are checking trunks.
