NYSE closes thanks to "Frankenstorm"

NEW YORK (WFLX) - Hurricane Sandy is forcing the New York Stock Exchange to close its trading floor Monday.

Though the trading floor will be empty and the stock exchange building closed down, the market will still be open and trading will continue -- electronically.

This is the first time the stock exchange's trading floor has shut down for weather since Hurricane Gloria in 1985.

A decision has not yet been made whether to reopen the trading floor for Tuesday.
