LOS ANGELES (WFLX) - New research suggests teens with smartphones are more likely to be involved in risky sexual behavior.
An University of Southern California study reveals about one-third of adolescents use smartphones. These teens were almost twice as likely than non-smartphone users to be sexually active.
Smartphone users were also twice as likely to have been solicited for sex on the Internet, and many report engaging in unprotected sex.
Researchers say parents should be aware of these risks and talk to their teens about being careful of meeting people online.
