School district needs 25k computers for standardized tests

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach County School District is facing a serious problem in upgrading computers for students.

According to state requirements, the district needs to have at least 25,000 new computers that will be used for various standardized tests by 2015.

For that to happen, it would have to come up with $12 million of its own money, and hope for another $7 million in equipment donations.

Requests for federal aid are also being made.
