Results in for first town to finish voting

DIXVILLE NOTCH, NH (WFLX) - The very first votes in the country Tuesday morning, came with a surprise. It may foreshadow how close the presidential election may end up.

It's an Election Day tradition for the voters of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire located in the very north of that state. They are traditionally the very first to vote in the Northeast.

The result: a tie! Five votes were cast for President Obama while Governor Romney also received five votes.

But in another northern New Hampshire village, the president got 23 votes while Mr. Romney received nine.
