BELLE GLADE, FL (WFLX) -- Firefighters responded to an active commercial structure fire at a metal shop located at 27502 County Road 880 in Belle Glade, according to Captain Albert Borroto with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
A column of black smoke could be seen from several miles away.
Crews made an aggressive attack on the building fully engulfed in flames and took precautionary steps to ensure pesticides and fuel on site weren't set ablaze, says Borroto.
The fire is completely extinguished, and crews are now placing leaking containers into drums.
There are no reports of injuries.
No employees were on site at the time of the fire.
