Two rescued after boat capsized in Ft. Pierce Inlet

FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX) - Two people had to be rescued after their boat capsized in the Fort Pierce Inlet.

A Coast Guard vessel was seen Monday morning monitoring the boat that was upside down in the water. The 18-foot boat was coming into the inlet when it ran into trouble.

The Coast Guard and Marine officers with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office got the two people out of the water in just minutes. They were met on shore by paramedics and are expected to be ok.

Sea Tow has been called out to try and bring the boat back in.
