LOXAHATCHEE, FL (WFLX) - A Loxahatchee woman now faces more than a dozen animal cruelty charges after several malnourished horses were found on her property.
Janet Greene turned herself in Wednesday, and made her first court appearance Thursday. Authorities first started investigating the animal cruelty claims last August.
Upon further inspection, reports show, the animals were recieving much less food than they needed.
They were eventually seized by authorities about three weeks ago. Aminal control officers are now working to find some of them new homes.
