PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Students and parents, against an earlier start to the next school year, are waking up to good news.
The school board rejected a proposal that would have started the 2013-2014 school year one week early on Wednesday. The plan called for the first day of school to begin August 14 compared to the August 20 start date this year.
A new proposal will be put before the school board within the next two weeks.
