Men arrested for knocking mentally-disabled homeless man unconscious

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Two Treasure Coast men are facing felony charges after punching a mentally-disabled homeless man. The video was then posted on Facebook.

Indian River County Sheriff's Detectives say the two men reportedly told the man they would pay him $20 if he allowed one of them to slap him while the other videotaped it.

Instead, you can see they punched him -- knocking the man unconscious.

Nicholas Marr and William Gregory now face aggravated abuse of a disabled adult. We knocked on Marr's door, but he didn't want to talk.

"We, at the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, had the victim specifically evaluated, and found that his mental capacity was not the norm," explained Sheriff Derly Loar, Indian River County. "Therefore, these charges have been elevated to felonies."

The sheriff's office was alerted about the incident after the video went viral.
