NEW YORK (WFLX) - A teen, hit by a taxi cab on Sunday, became trapped under the car. Officers in the area saw the whole thing happen and called for backup.
It wasn't long before nearly a dozen arrived on scene. They banded together and lifted the car just enough to slide the victim out.
"You could hear the guttural coming out. The scream, it's like, 'Roarrrrrr,' and they lifted it up and moved it off of him," said witness Enrique Elias. "To that, I've never seen, and I've gotta tell you that honestly makes me proud to be a New Yorker."
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was last listed in critical condition. The taxi driver was not at fault for the crash.
