BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - The eviction papers have been served, but neighbors living off Golden Harbour Drive in Boca Raton say Andre Barbosa, an alleged "squatter", may still be living inside a $2.5 million home.
We first learned Barbosa had been "squatting" in the home at 580 Golden Harbour Drive about two weeks ago.
If Barbosa is still in the home, he apparently had house guests Monday night.
Boca Raton Police pulled over two women who were seen driving away from the home Monday night.
The license plate of the car they were in was covered.
One of the women's cell phones was seen in plain sight.
Our cameras spotted text messages from a person listed as "Andre".
Barbosa had been spotted living in the foreclosed home since January.
He filed an "adverse possession claim," meaning it was not against the law for him to be "squatting" in the $2.5 million home.
It's only legal until the bank that owns the home comes forward.
Bank of America, which owns the foreclosed home, served eviction papers last Wednesday.
But neighbors say Barbosa is still inside.
We've reached out to BOA to find out if he's still there. No word yet on if Barbosa has left the home.
