Boat searched after dropping off migrants

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Authorities are conducting a search after a boat dropped off 12-to-20 migrants in Boca Raton Thursday morning.

Officials say the boat, which was tracked by the Coast Guard from the Bahamas, entered the Boca Raton Inlet and then dropped off the passengers.

The migrants then climbed into two waiting vehicles which then split up. One vehicle headed north the other south authorities said.

At least one was stopped by Boca Raton police.

It's not clear if the other vehicle has been stopped.

Boca Raton police, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Highland Beach police and Border Patrol are working the case.
