Details in UCF thwarted bomb plot released

(WFLX) - New details on the thwarted bomb plot at the Univeristy of Central Florida.

Police say the man that planned to massacre his fellow students had ordered more than $700 worth of weapons online. The packages didn't arrived on campus until Tuesday.

Newly released video from UCF shows police storming the third floor of Tower One dorm. With a M4 drawn and helmet camera rolling, cops work to clear the suite where the shooter and his roommates lived.

You see officers open the dorm room of James Seevakumaran. Inside, the 30-year-old's body was found lifeless on the ground after fatally shooting himself. You can see two weapons on the floor including a .22 caliber assault rifle and .45 caliber pistol.

Authorities say the former student had 1,000 rounds of ammo, acted alone, but killed himself after his roommmate called 911 and police closed in.

When they went in there, they didn't know what they were going to find on the other side. We also learned, the suspect had two magazine clips and a training DVD mailed to him. They were found Tuesday in the university mailroom.

Officials also revealed Seevakumaran made a check list to carry out his carnage that, thankfully, he failed to complete.

The last thing on the list -- "Give him hell".

Police have not been able to determine a motive for this planned massacre. They say they're not aware of anything in his personal life that made him 'snap' only that he spent his last night alone, at a bar, drinking.
