SLC bus aide arrested on stalking charge By Rachel Leigh | March 29, 2013 at 3:04 PM EST - Updated June 30 at 2:00 PM PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - A St. Lucie County bus aide has been arrested on a stalking charge after, police say, she continually harassed a 5-year-old student with disabilities. The student attends Rivers Edge Elementary School in Port St. Lucie, according to officers. Daneta McPherson, 37, is accused of bullying the child by yelling at him and threatening to take him home with her, according to Port St. Lucie police spokesperson Sgt. Frank Sabol. The verbal attack would leave the child in tears, police said. This activity took place on the bus ride to and from school and occurred on multiple occasions, according to an arrest report. Police were alerted in December to reports of the verbal attacks. A warrant was issued Thursday for McPherson's arrest. Copyright 2013 WFLX. All Rights Reserved.
